Published Online: 12/31/2017
Abstract
To supplement existing taxonomic knowledge, the morphology of the mandible and gill structure of C. quadricarinatus and P. leniusculus are illustrated and described for the first time. In addition, the introductions of five alien freshwater crayfish: Cherax quadricarinatus, Cherax tenuimanus, Cambarellus patzucuarensis, Pacifastacus leniusculus, and Procambarus fallax f. virginalis into Japan are reviewed to further ongoing conservation and management measures.
